SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a tip for mounting an aerosol-generating article above a heat source, which comprises a body forming a channel adapted to receive an aerosol-generating article; a casing configured to cover at least a portion of the heat source and provide air access to the heat source, the casing comprising a wall and one or more openings in the wall; a stop configured to interact with the far end of the heat source as the aerosol-generating article slides through the channel, wherein the stop is configured to prevent movement of the far end of the heat source beyond the enclosure; and a seal extending from the inner surface of the housing downstream of the anvil and upstream of one or more openings in the wall of the housing, wherein the seal is configured to cover the aerosol-generating article and contact therewith and is configured to prevent or limit the entry of combustion products released from the heat source into air drawn through the aerosol-generating article.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing barrier for protection of smoker or its environment from contact with combustible heat source having high temperature.
