FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to oncourology, and can be used to determine a degree of malignancy of prostatic adenocarcinoma. For this purpose, a computer knowledge base is formed based on reference images of preparations with a previously verified diagnosis. Patient's prostate tissue biopsy is performed to obtain a histological specimen. Digital image of the histologic preparation is recorded in the computer memory. Image of obtained preparation is analysed by comparison with database. Digital image of the analysed preparation is used to determine the quantitative characteristics of the acini and epithelial cells. Degree of malignancy is determined by comparing the image of the histologic preparation with the reference images from the knowledge base and the results of the automatic classification of belonging to types of the histological structure disorders of the Gleason score.

EFFECT: invention enables determining the degree of malignancy of prostate adenocarcinoma in a patient.
