FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of an anti-erosion coating on aircraft engine parts. Disclosed is a method of making aircraft engine part (1), comprising at least metal substrate (2) and protective coating (3) present on substrate, which includes at least one phase (4) containing at least chromium with content in atomic percent, greater than or equal to 45 %, and carbon with content in atomic percentage in range from 5 % to 20 %, wherein said phase contains chromium carbides Cr7C3 and Cr23C6. Method includes at least following stages, on which coating composition (3') is deposited on substrate (2') by electroplating from electrolytic bath (7) containing at least trivalent chromium and organic compound, and subjected to said part subjected to heat treatment at temperature in range from 250 °C to 700 °C to obtain protective coating (3).
EFFECT: invention provides creation of aircraft engine with complex shape, anti-erosion protective coating.
