FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and machine-readable medium for slow rotation of cutting drum. Method includes receiving, in a controller, input signals from an operator interface, wherein said input signals include a signal for initiating rotation of the cutting drum at a maintenance rate, and, in response to said input signals, transmitting control signals from the controller to the cutting drum rotation mechanism included in said mining machine. Said control signals give a command to the switch included in said cutting drum rotation mechanism to electrically connect the cutter motor and the variable frequency drive.
EFFECT: technical result is the positioning of the cutting drum for maintenance.
