FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to industrial machines, such as mining machines. Mining machine comprises carcass, drive, cutting drum supported by carcass, wherein cutting drum is engaged with drive, cutter connected with cutting drum, and controller with processor and storage device. At that, controller is made with possibility to determine cutting drum angle of rotation, determination of resultant cutting force on the basis of cutting drum rotation angle, determination of cutter wear on the basis of resultant cutting force and output of signal when it is determined that cutter is worn out.
EFFECT: detection of blunt and worn cutters.
