FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for laser cleaning of a surface of a moving metal product with a layer of oxides from scales and a device for its implementation. At least one first laser (6) directs beam (7), which is reflected from oxidized surface of product to be cleaned from scale. Said beams (9) reflected by oxidised surface are received by sensors (8), which transmit collected information to processing unit (10). Processing unit (10) calculates beam (7) absorption by product surface, outputs emissivity of oxidised surface in direction of said reflected beams (9) and sets a ratio between said emissivity and initial data information previously recorded in processing unit (10). At least one second laser (13) directs beam (14) to surface of product to remove scale therefrom, wherein spots of said beams (14) cover entire surface to be cleaned from scale, using optical and/or mechanical scanning, moving in lateral direction beam spots (14) on product surface, or optical system converting spots in line. Said second laser is controlled by control unit (15) receiving information provided by processing unit (10), which enables to determine operating parameters transmitted to said second laser (13) for scraping surface of product compared to experimental results previously recorded in control unit (15).

EFFECT: means for controlling the surface of the product cleaned from the scale are used to check the scale removal efficiency.
