FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to methods for processing radioactive waste contained in a matrix. Method for processing radioactive waste contained in a matrix by pyrolysis involves introducing radioactive wastes in a receiver into a reaction chamber in which a temperature atmosphere of T ≥ 200 °C containing water vapour is installed or is being installed, performing pyrolysis, removal of gases from reaction chamber, extraction of receivers from reaction chamber. Additionally, one stage is performed from the group: introduction of oxygen and/or CO2 into the reaction chamber, adjustment of water vapour introduced into the reaction chamber, adjustment of oxygen introduced into reaction chamber, disconnection of pyrolysis depending on oxidised substance available in exhaust gas. There is also a system for processing radioactive waste contained in a matrix.
EFFECT: group of inventions increases efficiency of pyrohydrolysis.
