SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of video signal decoding. Disclosed is a method of decoding a video signal, comprising: obtaining from a video signal an index of a reference image for the current block, wherein the reference image index sets the combined image for the current block; selecting a merged image related to a possible temporal displacement vector for the current block, based on the reference image index; obtaining possible temporal displacement vector for current block from combined unit, wherein the combined unit is included in the combined image given by the reference image index obtained from the video signal; generating a list of possible displacement vectors comprising several possible displacement vectors; determining motion vector predictor for current block based on list of possible displacement vectors and possible index, wherein possible index specifies one of several possible displacement vectors contained in list of possible displacement vectors; and obtaining prediction samples of current block based on motion vector predictor and reference image for current block.
EFFECT: technical result is high efficiency of converting and compressing video information.
