FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of video signal decoding. Disclosed is a method of decoding a video signal, comprising steps of: obtaining transformation coefficients of a current block from a video signal; inverse quantisation of transformation coefficients of current block; obtaining residual samples of the current block by performing inverse transformation of the inverse transformation coefficients of the current block; obtaining a possible temporal displacement vector from the combined block for the current block, wherein the combined block is included in the combined image given by the reference image index for the current block; generating a list of possible displacement vectors comprising several possible displacement vectors, wherein several possible displacement vectors include a possible temporal displacement vector; determining motion vector predictor for current block based on list of possible displacement vectors and possible index, wherein possible index specifies one of several possible displacement vectors contained in list of possible displacement vectors; obtaining prediction samples of the current block based on the displacement vector predictor and restoring the current block using residual samples and prediction samples.

EFFECT: technical result is high efficiency of converting and compressing video information.
