FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: device for obtaining samples has a housing which includes a chamber, at least a hole, a drive and a separate compartment. Separate compartment is made with possibility of detachable retention inside housing and separation. Actuator is configured to suck internal substance through hole into chamber and simultaneously push separate compartment along housing to separate compartment from housing of device for obtaining samples, thereby creating increased space or volume for receiving and storage of sample inside camera of device for obtaining samples. Disclosed is a method of producing a sample from an animal's gastrointestinal tract.
EFFECT: invention enables collecting a sample in the human or animal gastrointestinal tract for diagnosing the gastrointestinal condition and determining the absorption and digestibility of the nutrients.
