FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a star-shaped structure retained in the stomach. The proposed structure includes: a loaded polymer component; the first linker that connects the loaded polymer component to the second polymer component; the second linker that contains at least part of the loaded polymer component or is connected to it, and/or contains at least part of an elastic polymer component or is connected to it. At least one of the loaded polymer component, the second polymer component, the first linker and the second linker contains an elastic polymer component. The loaded polymer component is at least 60% by wt. of the total structure weight. The retained structure is characterized by folding force of at least about 0.2 N. The first linker is capable of decomposing at the first set of physiological conditions; and the second linker is capable of decomposing at the second set of physiological conditions, different from the first set of physiological conditions, and is not essentially capable of decomposing at the first set of conditions. Options of structures retained in the stomach, a system for the delivery of the structure retained in the stomach, and methods for the delivery of the structure retained in the stomach are also proposed.

EFFECT: proposed retained structure makes possible the long-term release of active substance via the oral route.
