FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a device for determining the spatial position of holes axes on the surface of a measured object in a given coordinate system using a coordinate measurement system, and can be used to control curvilinear and straight-line aircraft panels with a large number of different-diameter openings located both in direct visibility of the laser tracker, and in its shaded and hard-to-reach places. Device consists of calibrated ball 1, laser meter, such as laser tracker 6, wherein rod 3 is introduced with conical grip in its lower part and magnetic support 4 with spherical reflector 5, which is installed and fixed in upper part of rod 3, and conical grip of rod 3 is fixed relative to calibrated ball 1, installed in measured hole of diameter d, with possibility of rotation of rod 3 with magnetic support 4 and spherical reflector 5 relative to center O of calibrated ball 1, wherein center of rotation of surface of hemisphere with radius R, described by center of spherical reflector 5, is center O of calibrated ball 1.

EFFECT: high accuracy and efficiency of determining the position of axes of holes.
