SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. During casting of liquid metal, optimized casting parameter is determined. For this purpose, at least one value of flow rate and size of hole of teeming barrel is determined so that jet of liquid metal coming out of teeming barrel induces secondary mixing of metal in suspension zone of metal in mould. To improve characteristics of macroscopic liquation, optimized casting parameter is calculated using the Reynolds number of the mould and the Reynolds number of the jet. Reynolds number of the mould is determined by the size of the casting mould and casting speed. Reynolds number of the jet is determined from the Reynolds number of the mould.
EFFECT: reduced macroscopic liquation and uniform distribution of macroscopic liquation.
