FIELD: transportation; data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of using autonomous unmanned underwater vehicles (AUUV), and more specifically to methods of providing their energy efficiency. AUUV usage method, allowing to save AUUV electric power supply, equipped with navigation system and hydroacoustic environment lighting system (HELS), operating in active and passive modes, consists in the fact that using the AUUV coordinates and the digital map, calculated by the navigation system, the AUUV control system (CS) periodically determines the distance to the nearest fixed navigation obstacle in front of the heading from its current position, with the same CS period calculates the time, during which AUUV can move without using an active operating mode of HELS, and monitors the dynamics of changing the value of time, while it remains greater than zero, otherwise CS calculates the period of emission of probing signals in the active operating mode of the HELS and instructs to activate the active HELS mode, when detecting fixed obstacle CS calculates deviation maneuver parameters and at a given moment gives a command for its execution, simultaneously with described actions CS calculates time interval between consecutive inclusions of passive HELS mode and in compliance with this interval periodically gives commands to activate passive mode of HELS operation.
EFFECT: higher energy efficiency of AUUV usage, reduced battery charge of accumulator batteries due to reduction of HELS operating time in active and passive modes without reduction of HELS operation quality.
