GASEOUS SUBSTANCES STORAGE SYSTEM, METHODS FOR ITS PRODUCTION AND USE Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC B01J20/20 B01J20/30 C01B32/354 C01B32/384 B01D53/04

Abstract RU 2722839 C2

FIELD: manufacturing technology; chemical or physical processes.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an absorbent monolith, a method of producing an adsorbent monolith and a gaseous substance storage system, which contains adsorbent monolith in compliance with this invention. According to the invention, the compressed porous adsorbing gas monolith contains an adsorbent, a polymer binder and a polymer fibrous carcass material. Adsorbent is activated carbon contained in an amount of at least 77 wt % and having a pore volume of <25 Å per unit volume of about 0.3 cm3/cm3 or more. Polymer binder is contained in amount of not more than 20 wt %, and is selected from carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon, PTFE) and fluoropolymer. Frame material is contained in an amount of not more than 3 wt %.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a pressed porous monolith having natural gas activity of 10_1 to 15_1 g/100 g.
