FIELD: testing.

SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to aerodynamic tests on installations for investigation of aerodynamic mutual influence of airframe and external units of prefabricated models of aircraft (AC) in wind tunnels (WT) during experimental determination of aerodynamic characteristics of similar aircraft models. During tests, aircraft models are used, which are composed of a housing, for example, in the form of a cylindrical body of revolution with a head part of a hemispherical, conical or ogival shape, and one or more external units, also, for example, in the form of cylindrical bodies of revolution with a head part of a hemispherical, conical or ogival shape, which are mounted next to the housing, contactless with structural elements of the wind tunnel, and with a small gap from the housing itself.

EFFECT: possibility of determining additional aerodynamic forces and moments acting on the housing of the assembled aircraft model, in the presence of assembly units external to it, for various structural parameters of the housing and external units of the aircraft model, their mutual arrangement schemes and test conditions.
