SUBSTANCE: invention relates to military equipment and can be used in designing of cumulative ammunition. To implement the method of determining the speed of a cumulative jet in ammunition, the cumulative ammunition is exploded, a cumulative jet is created, the target is exposed to the cumulative jet and the cumulative jet velocity is determined. After the target is exposed, the target penetration depth is measured by the cumulative jet, the length of the cumulative jet is calculated using a mathematical expression. Cumulative jet velocity is determined using a mathematical expression.
EFFECT: technical result is determination of cumulative jet speed in various ammunition after real explosions.
