FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: present invention refers to medicine, namely to urology, and can be used for determining the clinical course of chronic recurrent bacterial prostatitis (CRBP). A method for determining the therapeutic approach to chronic recurrent bacterial prostatitis involves laboratory examination of the prostatic secretion. Performing electron microscopy with morphometric examination of prostatic secretion and determining phagocytic activity of macrophages. If observing active macrophages and oppression, the patient is prescribed an antibacterial therapy. If observing inactive prostate cancer inactive macrophages and incomplete phagocytosis, the patient is prescribed an immunoactive therapy.
EFFECT: high accuracy of detecting disturbed immunological links of protection in CRBP patients, which allows selecting a reasonable and more effective therapeutic approach to the patient, using an immunoactive therapy and reducing the number of recurrences.
