FIELD: methods and devices for metal processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for laser welding of deep penetration articles and can be used in laser welding with control of the weld formation process directly in the welding process. Proposed method comprises welding in vacuum with laser beam to control welding seam forming process. In compliance with first embodiment, specific power of laser beam is controlled during welding. Amplitude and/or frequency of the secondary emission current in the plasma formed above the zone of action of the laser beam on the metal of the welded article is measured. For this purpose, collector of charged particles is installed above welding zone, positive potential relative to welded article is supplied to collector and external circuit is created for plasma charges. During welding the amplitude and/or frequency of the received signal is maintained at the specified level. According to the second embodiment, the amplitude and/or frequency of the ion current in the plasma formed above the zone of action of the laser beam on the metal of the article being welded is measured. For this purpose, collector of charged particles is installed above welding zone, negative potential is applied to collector relative to welded article and external circuit is created for plasma charges. During welding the amplitude and/or frequency of the received signal is maintained at the specified level.

EFFECT: technical result when using invention is improvement of quality of welded joints produced at laser welding with deep penetration.
