Main environmental indicator is "fuel and lubricant materials penetration into soil", and comparison base is similar data obtained during services with application of instruments; estimated index of environmental safety of devices is environmental safety coefficient.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method for determining environmental safety of using instruments for lubrication and refueling operations during maintenance of machines in field conditions, it allows to take into account all types of services (annual and periodic – first and second), conducted in field conditions.
