SUBSTANCE: invention relates to maintenance of vehicles and their maintenance means, in particular to methods for determining environmental safety of vehicle maintenance, tractors, combine harvesters and other self-propelled machines in field conditions. Disclosed is a method of determining environmental safety of using a mobile device during maintenance of machines in field conditions. It allows to take into account all types of services (periodic - the first and the second), conducted in field conditions with application of mobile facilities, for example, maintenance units. At that, the main ecological indicator is the "ingress of fuel-and-lubricant materials into soil" index, and the comparison base is similar data obtained during servicing in stationary conditions.

EFFECT: technical result is determination of environmental safety of using mobile equipment during maintenance of machines in field conditions.
