FIELD: biochemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cultivated Cucumis sativus var. sativus plant possessing increased fruit yield to its part, seed, fetus, cell, tissue, as well as to its hereditary plant. Also disclosed is use of recombinant chromosome 6 for cultivating cucumber varieties having increased fruit yield, and use of plants grown from seeds deposited under access number NCIMB 42262, or their offspring, to produce a cultivated cucumber plant having increased fruit yield. Invention also relates to a method of identifying a cultivated C. sativus var. sativus plant, including recombinant chromosome 6, as well as a method of producing NCIMB 42262 progeny, comprising recombinant chromosome 6.

EFFECT: invention enables to efficiently obtain a Cucumis sativus var_sativus plant having an increased yield of fruits.
