FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biochemistry, in particular to a cultivated Cucumis sativus var. sativus plant containing a fragment of introgression from a wild relative of cucumber on Chromosome 2 in a homozygous or heterozygous form. Moreover, the plant has an increased fruit yield compared to the plant that does not contain the specified introgression fragment. Also disclosed is a seed suitable for growing the above plant.
