Said protective strip comprises a shell configured to retain liquid. Adhesive substance is a heat-switched adhesive substance. Liquid contained in the shell has the possibility of heating the adhesive substance, increasing its stickiness. Method for applying a stoma device comprises the steps of providing said stump apparatus, filling the protective strip shell with liquid, thereby bringing fluid into proximity with the proximal surface of the adhesive layer, removing the protective strip and applying the adhesive disc on the skin.
