FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition, specifically to armor-piercing active-jet projectiles (BARS). Projectile comprises an air intake device, a submissile comprising a core and a housing with a bulge provided with projections, flat fixed aerodynamic stabilizers, hypersonic ramjet engine, housing of which is equipped with an external coaxial shell retained by the driving device in the initial position and configured to move back along the flight with subsequent irreversible fixation in the extended position relative to the engine and formation of a jet nozzle between its inner surface and the surface of the body of the submissile. At the same time aerodynamic stabilizers are arranged on end section of shell in the direction of the flight, and shell length exceeds core length by structurally minimum possible value.

EFFECT: high efficiency of armor-piercing, as well as high accuracy of hitting a moving target.
