FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition, specifically to armor-piercing active-jet projectiles (BARS). Projectile comprises a submissile including a core and a housing with a bulge, provided with projections, aerodynamic stabilizers, hypersonic ramjet engine with combustion chamber, fuel elements and housing, which inner surface is equipped with projections mating the grooves in the submissile housing, air intake device, drive device made with possibility of separation from projectile, jet nozzle, afterburning chamber. At that, the core head part is made free from the housing, the engine is placed on the section of the core having the housing directly after the driving device along the projectile flight. Air-intake device is fixed by a leak-proof connection with the driving device that is destructible in flight, aerodynamic stabilizers are arranged on engine housing end section in the direction of the flight. Jet nozzle is formed by inner surface of engine housing and core housing, and inner space of air intake element, afterburning chamber and nozzle are filled with fast flammable fuel.
EFFECT: high efficiency of armor-piercing, as well as high accuracy of hitting a moving target.
