FIELD: microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microbiology and can be used to develop therapeutic measures to suppress infection caused by antibiotic-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains. Disclosed is a method for simulating an intraperitoneal Pseudomonas infection process, involving intraperitoneal introduction of a daily suspension of Pseudomonas aeruginosa culture. Pseudomonas aeruginosa culture is obtained by washing off with a solid nutrient medium 0.85 % physiologic saline, wherein the introduced rabbit culture volume is 2 ml, concentration in 1 ml is increased to 108 microbial cells according to Tarasevich's turbidity standard in a sterile test tube; clinical signs of infection are observed 24–32 hours after Pseudomonas aeruginosa introduction.
EFFECT: invention provides creating technically simple and highly reproducible model of intraperitoneal Pseudomonas infectious process.
