FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, namely to methods of producing road-construction materials, in particular, to a method of producing sulphur-bitumen, involving preliminary heating of bitumen, mixing sulphur and bitumen with cavitation-acoustic action, in which preliminary heating of bitumen is performed by cavitation-acoustic action to temperature of 160 ± 2 °C, using sulphur and residual oil bitumen, and to maintain temperature of 160 ± 2 °C, cavitation-acoustic action is used, which is carried out for 15–20 minutes by ultrasonic action with oscillations with frequency of 18–68 kHz, pulse-width modulated in frequency range 10–400 Hz.

EFFECT: technical result consists in intensification of mixing by cavitation-acoustic (ultrasonic) effect, as well as low cost of obtained sulphur bitumen, by replacing commercial oxidised oil bitumen with residual petroleum bitumen, which is a heavy residue of vacuum distillation of oil, as well as by substitution of up to 20 wt% of bituminous raw material with sulphur.
