SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system and a corresponding method for attachment of two components to each other on a vehicle body assembly line. Method of attaching two components to each other on vehicle body assembly line, comprising the steps of: providing the presence of the first component and the second component, applying an adhesive layer on said first component and/or on said second component, connecting said first and second components to each other by means of said layer of adhesive between them and applying to produced assembly multiple rivets, configured to pass through said first and second components and said adhesive layer, wherein said method is characterized by that it additionally includes steps, on which prior to installation of said rivets, measuring temperature of first component and/or second component and creating temperature conditions on first component and/or second component and/or adhesive, applied on first component and/or second component, by means of temperature conditions control, controlled on the basis of measured temperature so that said adhesive layer, applied on said first component and/or said second component is in a predetermined thermal state; said multiple rivets are applied so that they pass through said first and second components and said adhesive layer, when said layer of adhesive is in a predetermined thermal state.
EFFECT: technical result is providing hot melt adhesive in constant thermal state.
