FIELD: glass industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition of sodium-calcium-silicate glass which can be used for making hollow glass articles. Disclosed sodium-calcium-silicate glass contains the following optical absorbers in an amount lying within the following ranges by weight: F2O3 (total content of iron) from 100 to 1600 parts per million, Cr2O3 from 20 to 100 parts per million, S2- from 10 to 50 parts per million. Composition is characterized by a redox potential defined by molar ratio of ferrous iron to total iron content of less than 0.7 and a light transmittance of 50 % to 65 % for thickness of 5 mm.
EFFECT: technical result of invention is production of golden hue glass combined with high light transmission and high filtration capacity.
