FIELD: smoking accessories.

SUBSTANCE: smoking article (10) is provided, which contains tobacco rod (12) and filter (14) aligned along the axis with end-to-end contact. Filter (14) consists of one segment of filter material, having common length (L) and extending from mouth end (16) to tobacco rod end (18). Smoking article (10) comprises zone (20) of ventilation in position at first distance (V) from filter end (16) brought to mouth; and an additive delivery element (22) upstream of ventilation zone (20) and at a second distance (C) from the end of filter (14) to mouth (16). Ventilation zone (20) is at least 5 mm from additive delivery element (22). Total length (L) of the filter is from 20 mm to 30 mm; first distance (V) ranges from 11 mm to 22 mm; and second distance (C) ranges from 16 mm to 27 mm.

EFFECT: disclosed is a smoking article comprising a filter with improved release of a flavoring agent.
