SUBSTANCE: disclosed are a combined therapy in treating a bacterial biofilm containing Streptococcus mitis and/or Streptococcus pneumoniae, which involves using a polypeptide with a serine protease and one or more antibiotics selected from tetracycline, cefotaxime, vancomycin, erythromycin and oxacillin. A polypeptide having serine protease activity selected from trypsins and chymotrypsins, and its use for preparing a medicinal agent. Disclosed is a method for destruction, inhibition or prevention of bacterial biofilm growth in vitro, involving a combination therapy on a biofilm.
EFFECT: inventions provide treatment and prevention of infections associated with growth of bacterial biofilm.
