SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and device for casting, in particular, for casting cap with protective device for closing container neck. Casting method comprises providing a cap housing comprising an annular wall made of a metal material, placing the cap body in a mould, limiting the casting cavity in the mould, suitable for casting a protective ring on an annular wall, and casting a protective ring on the annular wall by introducing plastic material into the casting cavity. At that, when casting cavity is limited, limitation of the first annular zone of sealing of plastic material between the first surface of the cap housing and the first part of the mould, inserted into the cap housing, limiting the second annular zone of sealing of plastic material between the second surface of the cap housing and the semi-blocks of the mould, made with the possibility of opening and closing relative to each other to provide housing of the cap in the mould, and limiting the third circular zone of sealing of the plastic material between the first part and the mould half-blocks. Container cap comprises a housing made of metal material and comprising a closing wall for closing container, and an annular wall intended for connection to the container neck, a protective ring made of plastic material and comprising a connecting portion connected to the annular wall, and a detachable portion connected to the connecting portion by means of the brittle means disintegrated during use when the cap is opened, the fragile means for connecting the detachable portion to the connecting portion, comprising a rib extending in length in the direction of the cap axis such that when the container is opened, the detachable portion remains connected to the rest of the cap and does not remain on the container, and a brittle line extending along the length in the direction of the cap axis on the detachable section on the half of the axial length of the detachable portion and up to the lower end edge of the detachable portion.
EFFECT: invention provides simple and cheap manufacture of container cap, high strength of connection of metal cap housing and protective ring from plastic, saving of plastic material and/or metal material used to form caps, and higher efficiency of casting of caps.
