SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire protection of electric cables and cable lines. For protection of electric cables and cable lines, INFLEX-FK-31 fire-proof net coated with fire-retardant intumescent compound is used. Grid web is cut in compliance with dimensions of protected electric cable or cable line and installed around electric cable or cable line by means of joints of grid overlaps by means of fasteners. When exposed to open fire or high temperatures, the mesh material forms a stable strong foamed layer, blocking the propagation of combustion and preventing inflammation of the protected electrical cables. Mesh perforation allows the cables to self-bank, which improves heat removal.
EFFECT: invention allows reducing labour intensity and improving reliability of electric cables and cable lines protection against fire.
