METHOD OF COMPLEX TREATMENT OF RHINOPHYMA Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B17/24

Abstract RU 2727695 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology, and can be used for complex treatment of rhinophyma. That is ensured by removing the rhinophymatics masses by an electrode from the cold plasma surgery apparatus in the "coblation" device operation mode. That is followed by layer-by-layer decortication of the altered skin to achieve an anatomically correct shape of the nose. During surgical intervention, skin is preserved on intact nostril inner surface. In the postoperative period, on the following postoperative day, the patient is exposed to the postoperative wound exogenous nitrogen oxide (NO) daily using the NO-therapy apparatus and plasma surgery in the maximum mode for 60–200 seconds for 5 days.

EFFECT: method enables higher clinical effectiveness of rhinophyma ensured by complex action, avoiding infection of wound, pain syndrome, rough cicatrical deformations of soft tissues of nose with good cosmetic effect and reduction of length of stay in hospital.
