SUBSTANCE: control method for control of a plate-like control object having a pattern comprises an image forming step consisting in capturing an initial image of the monitored surface of the monitoring object; a digitization step of generating an image with two or three gradation levels by digitizing the original image captured by the image forming step using the threshold value; and a determination step, comprising monitoring a monitoring object using an image generated by the digitization step. At that, the inspection object pattern consists of lunar recesses formed on the monitored surface of white colour or high-brightness colour, and the determination step includes a pattern determination step, comprising determining whether a portion of the area occupied by the pattern consisting of lunar recesses is within a predetermined range, using an image generated by the digitization step and determining whether the control object is acceptable.
EFFECT: invention relates to a method of controlling large plates.
