FIELD: transport machine building.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to automotive tire control method. Method comprises: i) providing a tire having an axis of rotation on a support plane, wherein a resting side portion and a free lateral portion are formed; ii) determining at least one three-dimensional profile of annular surface of tire with center on tire rotational axis, wherein three-dimensional profile embraces height of multiple points of annular surface; iii) translational movement of tool to tire located on support plane so that it rests on measuring surface, wherein measurement surface is part of annular surface; iv) indenting the measuring surface by means of a tool for applying an inducing force generated by the tool to a measuring surface towards a support plane; v) relative rotation of the tire relative to the tool so that the tool is in-series in contact with the plurality of different measurement surfaces, parts of annular surface spaced apart in angular direction, while maintaining substantially constant indenting force created by tool and applied tool to measuring surfaces, during at least one full rotation around the axis of rotation; vi) measuring the height of the measuring surfaces in the plurality of angular positions of the tire and tool relative to each other during complete rotation when performing the indenting action, and vii) comparison of height of measuring surfaces in multiple angular positions of tire and tool relative to each other with height of multiple points of three-dimensional profile of annular surface in same angular positions, and viii) determining whether the defect has a bus based on the comparison.

EFFECT: technical result is higher speed and higher quality of tire control.
