FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine-building technologies of surface hardening of parts of agricultural machines, in particular, to methods of hardening of disk furrow opener cutting edges. Method of hardening of disk furrow opener cutting edge includes electromechanical treatment by reinforcing tool, which is moved along combined trajectory, wherein mechanical action of reinforcing tool on disc surface is 100–300 N, and thermal action is carried out with increase in current on tool from 800 to 1,200 A and at voltage of 1–4 V with provision of hardening to depth of 0.1–1.0 mm and achieving hardness of not less than 50±2 HRC.
EFFECT: method provides formation of a hardened layer with high wear resistance on the disk furrow opener cutting edge.
