SUBSTANCE: hookah device (100) for use with cartridge (20) containing aerosol-generating substrate (302) comprises a vessel, a seat and an electric heating element. Cartridge comprises a housing surrounding an aerosol-generating substrate. Vessel forms inner part configured to contain liquid (19) and forms an outlet communicating with vessel inner part. Seat is configured to accommodate cartridge therein. Heating element is configured to heat the aerosol-generating substrate in the aerosol-generating cartridge when the cartridge is placed in the seat. Heating element is configured to heat the tobacco substrate to an extent sufficient to generate the aerosol without combusting the aerosol-generating substrate.
EFFECT: there is disclosed a hook production device for heating the substrate without combustion.
