SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture and can be used for protection of bumblebees from toxic action of mitochondrial-directed pesticides both in laboratory and in field conditions. Method for protection of bumblebees from toxic action of mitochondrial-directed pesticides involves feeding bumblebees with sugar syrup. Bumblebees exposed to contact with mitochondrial-directed pesticide solution in concentration thereof in solution of not more than 0.0005 % in form of liquid or aerosol, are fed with sugar syrup with methylene blue in its concentration of 0.002 % and an amount of at least 1 ml in terms of one bumble on 1st day. Feeding begins either immediately after contact with the pesticide, but not later than one hour after contact duration of 1 day, or not earlier than 2 days before contact of bumblebees with pesticide and stop feeding 1 day after contact with pesticide.

EFFECT: invention provides reduced mortality and increased flight activity of bumblebees during intoxication with mitochondrial-directed pesticides.
