FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to surgical cutting and suturing instruments. Surgical stapling instrument comprises a body, a replaceable shaft assembly, a surgical end effector, a pivot system and means of preventing detachment of the replaceable shaft assembly from the body. Replaceable barrel assembly is detachably connected to the housing and comprises an elongated shaft. Surgical end effector is functionally connected to an elongated shaft for selective hinged rotation relative to it. Articulation system is configured to selectively apply pivotal turn motions to the surgical end effector when the articulation system is in the actuation orientation. Means to prevent detachment of detachable barrel assembly from housing, when hinge turning system is in orientation of actuation. Detachable barrel assembly is detachably connected to the body by means of a locking member which is selectively movable between the locked position and the unfixed position. Devices for preventing detachment are functionally connected with hinged turning system and locking element. Hinged rotation system comprises hinged rotation drive mechanism, supported with possibility of movement along detachable barrel assembly and with possibility of selective movement between idle orientation, in which the surgical end effector is in a detached orientation, and a plurality of orientation actuations, wherein the surgical end effector is hinged relative to the shaft axis formed by the elongated shaft.
EFFECT: invention is characterized by that drive mechanism of articulated rotation is supported with possibility of movement along replaceable unit of barrel and is also functionally connected with facility to prevent detachment of replaceable shaft assembly from housing.
