FIELD: glass industry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention discloses a high-modulus fiberglass composition, glass fiber and composite material therefrom. Said fiber-glass composition contains the following components, the content of which is expressed in weight percent: 55–64 SiO2; 17.1–24 Al2O3; 3–6 Y2O3; 3.4–9.9 CaO; 10.4–14 MgO; less than 22 CaO+MgO+SrO; more than 0.78 and less than 2 Li2O+Na2O+K2O; less than 2 % TiO2; less than 1.5 Fe2O3; 0–1.2 La2O3; wherein the weight percent ratio range of C1=(Li2O+Na2O+K2O)/(Y2O3+La2O3) is greater than 0.26.
EFFECT: said composition can substantially increase the elasticity of the glass, effectively inhibit the tendency of the glass to crystallisation, reduce the liquidus temperature, provide required temperature range (ΔT) of fiber molding and improves clarification of melted glass, which makes it especially suitable for production of high-modulus fiberglass using lined furnaces.
