DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE FOR MICROCIRCULATORY CHANGES IN THE MACULAR REGION IN YOUNG PATIENTS BY OCT-ANGIOGRAPHY Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B8/10

Abstract RU 2729032 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. For diagnosis of microcirculatory changes in macular area in young age patients, macular area is scanned by optical coherent tomography using Angio Retina QuickVue protocol 3×3 mm. Ratio of the surface area occupied by the capillaries of the superficial vascular plexus to the whole parafoveal area is measured. If the average area of the capillaries of the superficial vascular plexus of parafovea is less than 41 % of the entire parafoveal area, the area of the capillaries of the surface vascular plexus in the upper sector is less than 42 % of the area of this sector, area of capillaries of surface vascular plexus in temporal and nasal sectors – less than 40 % of these sectors, area of capillaries of surface vascular plexus in the lower sector is less than 41 % of the area of this sector, then microcirculatory changes in the macular region are diagnosed in young patients.

EFFECT: method provides reliable diagnosis of microcirculatory changes in the macular region in young patients, which enables to prescribe a course of conservative treatment in a timely manner and stabilize visual functions of the patients.
