DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE FOR DISTURBED MICROCIRCULATION IN MACULAR AREA OF RETINA AND OPTIC DISK IN MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B3/12 A61B6/03

Abstract RU 2712391 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for diagnosing microcirculation disturbances in macular area of retina and optic disk in multiple sclerosis. Capillary bed of the superficial and deep vascular plexuses of the retina macular area is measured by the Angio Retina Quick Vue program. Density of the capillary bed is measured over the entire area of the optic disc and the density of the capillary bed in the peripapillary area as per Angio Disc Quick Vue program. If the average density of the superficial vascular plexus of the retinal macular area is less than 43 %, average density of peripapillary capillaries is less than 44 % combined with reduced density of peripapillary capillaries in lower quadrant of the area of these capillaries less than 40 %, then disturbed microcirculation in macular area of retina and disk of optic nerve with multiple sclerosis.

EFFECT: method provides reliable diagnosis of microcirculation disorder in macular area of retina and optic disk in multiple sclerosis by measuring density of capillary bed in macular area of retina and optic disc by optical coherent tomography with angiography function.
