FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions for recovery of contact wires by sputtering of powder materials and can be used for recovery of worn-out surfaces of contact wires of electrified transport in situ (at the place of its operation). Composition for recovery of worn-out contact conductors based on copper or copper alloys in situ contains zinc, copper and aluminum α-oxide in following ratio of components, wt%: zinc 1–9, copper 26–69, and aluminum α-oxide – balance.

EFFECT: composition enables to restore contact wires to obtain the following characteristics: specific conductivity of reduced sections from 25 to 40 MS/m, strength of adhesion with contact wire from 35 to 45 MPa.
