FIELD: coatings.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing a brass coating on a steel substrate by gas-dynamic spraying. Compressed air is preliminary heated to a temperature of 430-470°C and then fed into a supersonic nozzle to form an air flow. A mechanical mixture of powders of copper, zinc and aluminium oxide is introduced into the formed air stream at their mass ratio Cu:Zn:Al2O3 = 35%:35%:30%. The specified mechanical mixture of powders is applied to the steel substrate in layers with the next layer offset relative to the previous one and with the indicated layers overlapping. The subsequent heat treatment of the formed coating is carried out at a temperature of 420-430°C and exposure time 60-80 min. Said displacement of the next layer relative to the previous one is 2.0-2.5 mm. At the same time, these layers are overlapped by 60-64%.
EFFECT: wear-resistant coating is obtained, corresponding to brass in chemical and phase composition.
