FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions which can provide a fat- and oil-resistant coating for bases, especially cellulose, textile and polymer bases. Coating compositions contain a water-insoluble polymer α-(1,3→glucan) and/or dextran polymer and, optionally, other additives. Polymer α-(1,3→glucan) has 90 % or more α-1,3-glycoside bonds, weight ratio of less than 1 % α-1,3,6-glycosidic branch points and number-average degree of polymerisation from 55 to 10000. Dextran contains 87–91.5 % α-1,6-glycoside bonds, 0.1–1.2 % α-1,3-glycoside bonds, 0.1–0.7 % α-1,4-glycoside bonds, 7.7–8.6 % α-1,3,6-glycoside bonds and 0.4–1.7 % α-1,2,6-glycoside bonds or α-1,4,6-glycoside bonds. Weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of dextran is 50–200 million daltons, and z is the average radius of inertia of dextran is 200–280 nm.
EFFECT: enabling improvement of oil- and oil-resistant properties of coatings.
