FIELD: antenna equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to phased antenna arrays having a modular architecture for control and monitoring. Phased antenna array system may include a plurality of radio-frequency (RF) mosaic elements sub-arrays, arranged in a certain order with formation of RF-aperture. Each sub-grid of RF mosaic elements can include a plurality of RF elements, and each RF element can be separately controlled to control radio beam, generated by RF element, or for tracking of radio beam received by RF element. Phased antenna array system may also include an antenna controller configured to process data, to control one or more radio beams or to track one or more radio beams by said plurality of RF elements. Antenna controller can additionally include a plurality of finite aperture machines. With each sub-grid of RF mosaic elements, a finite aperture automatic device can be connected to control the operation of the corresponding sub-frame of RF mosaic elements. Phased antenna array system may also include multiple buses for RF mosaic elements. One bus for RF mosaic elements functionally connects each final automatic device of the aperture with a sub-grid of RF mosaic elements.
EFFECT: said structure provides use of calibration information and phase compensation of RF elements when calculating the phase for beam formation.
