FIELD: smoking accessories.

SUBSTANCE: electrically controlled aerosol-generating system (1) comprising aerosol-generating article (2) and main unit (3). Aerosol-generating article (2) can be arranged in main unit (3). Aerosol-generating article (2) comprises: tubular first component (4) and second component (5). Tubular first component (4) comprises tubular first volatile substrate (6) and inner passage (7), and second component (5) contains second volatile substrate (8). Second component (5) of aerosol-generating article (2) is configured to receive tubular first component (4) of aerosol-generating article (2) in inner passage (7). Main unit (3) comprises: first heating part (14) containing one or more electric heaters (17), and second heating part (15) containing one or more electric heaters (18). One or more electric heaters (17) of the first heating part (14) are arranged to heat the first volatile substrate (6) of the tubular first component (4) when aerosol-generating article (2) is placed in main unit (3). One or more electric heaters (18) of the second heating part (15) are arranged to heat the second volatile substrate (8) of second component (5) when aerosol-generating article (2) is placed in main unit (3).

EFFECT: disclosed is an electrically controlled system which generates an aerosol with a multi-component article which generates aerosol.
