SUBSTANCE: electrically controlled aerosol-generating system (200) comprising main unit (203) comprising heating portion (210) on outer surface of main unit (203), wherein heating part (210) comprises one or more electric heaters, and aerosol-generating tubular product (202), comprising aerosol-forming tubular substrate (204) and inner passage (205), wherein inner passage (205) of aerosol-generating tubular article (202) is adapted to receive heating portion (210) of main unit (203), one or more electric heaters are arranged to heat the aerosol-forming tubular substrate (204) when the aerosol-generating tubular article (202), is received on heating part (210) of main unit (203), and at least one of main unit (203) and tubular product (202) generating aerosol, comprises at least one retaining element (221, 222, 223) adapted for detachment of the aerosol-generating tubular article (202), on heating unit (210) of main unit (203), when the aerosol-generating tubular product (202) is received at heating unit (210) of main unit (203).

EFFECT: disclosed is an electrically controlled system which generates an aerosol with a tubular aerosol-generating article and a retaining element.
